As a part of the ALL KIND OF -happening of Villa Rana, Kino Aurora will screen the highly topical activist-documentary DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN (2021) as a free-for-all screening on Sunday the 6th of November at 18:30!
DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN explores how three young women in Hong Kong, Chile and Uganda cope with the staggering personal impact of their political activism. A film about the next generation, made by the next generation.
With global protests on the rise, DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN is a film about the new generation at the heart of this seismic political shift. We will watch as Rayen protests for social justice in Chile, Pepper fights for democracy in Hong Kong and Hilda battles the devastating consequences of climate change in Uganda. Facing almost impossible odds and grappling with the staggering impact of their activism on their personal lives, we will be asking these three young women why they keep fighting.

SUOMEKSI: Osana Villa Ranan ALL KIND OF -tapahtumaa Kino Aurorassa esitetään sunnuntaina 6.11. klo 18:30 Franz Böhmin äärimmäisen ajankohtainen aktivismi-dokumentti DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN (2021) ilmaisnäytöksessä!
DEAR FUTURE CHILDREN -dokumentti seuraa kolmea nuorta naista, jotka ovat omistaneet elämänsä demokratian turvaamiselle ja ilmastoaktivismille. Diktatuurin, ilmastokriisin ja poliittisen väliinpitämättömyyden liikkelle pakottamat nuoret protestoivat mahdollistaakseen paremman huomisen: Rayen osoittaa mieltään chileläisten kansalais- ja ihmisoikeuksien puolesta, Pepper puolustaa demokratiaa Hong Kongissa & Hilda taistelee ilmastokriisin vaikutuksia vastaan Ugandassa. Dokumentti antaa puheenvuoron näille seuraavan sukupolven vaikuttajille kertoakseen paitsi taistelun pakollisuudesta, myös aktivismin vaikutuksesta nuorten henkilökohtaiseen elämään.
